Not only a fast rising Canadian contemporary visual artist,
Andrew is also a well known Canadian actor and singer.
An artist who is most at peace when he is able to juggle both of these artistic passions.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I am blessed to live and perform in a world where words and song are often given to me to communicate and connect with others.  However, the last few years my visual art has taught me it is even more powerful to communicate without them.

As a visual artist, I now use bold colour, shape and textures to connect to others. To use my abstract visual art as another powerful way to express and share my stories, thoughts and experiences.

For the first time, to have the means to evoke  response and introspection from a viewer without even being physically present.

Connections that need to be made and shared.

But now – without words.

VISUAL ARTIST JOURNEY

After four years of performing Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu in THE LION KING
at the Princess of Wales Theatre for the Mirvishes and Disney Theatricals in Toronto, Canada, Andrew decided it was time to kick open the doors to an ever present but unsatiated need:  to put his thoughts, expressions and emotions to paint and canvas.
To artistically "shake things up" for himself.

After six months of seclusion and introspection with his brushes he emerged --
at the insistance of his friends -- to participate in the 2005 Riverdale Art Walk in Toronto.
The result was such an overwhelming success that it became the launching pad
for what has snowballed into a rapidly demanding visual arts career.

Andrew, a self taught visual artist, now participates regularly in group and solo shows, works with designers and consultants, has his work sold through galleries across North America and has many works in both private and corporate collections throughout North America.
